The Concessions Worker prepares and serves concession items to guests. They prepare and pour beverages and serve them to guests, ensuring quality of food presentation. They utilize a cash register and accept payment, and must maintain excellent attendance in accordance with the attendance policy. The role pays an hourly rate of $12.77–$16.00 and is tip eligible.

The Salem Ridge Yaks play at Carillion Clinic Field at Salem Memorial Ballpark in Salem, Virginia, a venue known for its stunning views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, modern amenities, and its role as the home of the rebranded minor‑league baseball team. The team, formerly the Salem Red Sox, adopted the “Ridge Yaks” identity in late 2025 to reflect the region’s natural beauty and outdoor spirit, combining the Blue Ridge Mountains with the strength of a Yak.

• Conduct cash register sales by taking orders, building orders, and completing the transaction.
• Build orders, prepare food, and possess knowledge in all areas of concessions operations.
• Maintain stock and supply levels and communicate to the Concessions Stand Manager when items are low.
• Listen and respond to customer requests or concerns.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including disposal of garbage and cleaning dishes.
• Serve beverages to guests, including alcoholic beverages responsibly.
• Check guests’  accordance with state/federal regulations to verify minimum age for purchase of alcoholic beverages.
• Maintain sanitation, health and safety standards in work areas.

• Must be 16 years old or over.
• Three or more months of experience in the food service industry is preferred.
• Ability to learn to handle cash and operate a cash register; previous cash handling experience is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly, positive attitude with co‑workers, managers, volunteers and guests.
