Responsibilities- Assist with the daily operations of the assigned store, including merchandising and supporting customers.
- Fully cross‑trained to support the cash register and able to switch to front‑end duties as needed.
- Receive merchandise, unload trucks, and process freight safely in accordance with productivity standards.
- Merchandise and stock store as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness throughout the store: clean and restock bathrooms, sweep and mop floors, take out the trash, and ensure all areas are neat and presentable.
- Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders.
- Manage sales transactions while working the assigned cash register.
- Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment (highly preferred).
- Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents (required).
- Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from the floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Excellent customer service and relationship‑management skills.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
- High level of integrity.
- Proficiency in basic math for cash accounting.
