Brookfield Properties offers a range of residential options. We are looking for a Leasing Consultant to make a positive impact by guiding prospects and residents through the leasing experience.

Position Summary

As a Leasing Consultant, you will achieve leasing goals, manage leads, schedule tours, and help prospects find a home at your community.

Essential Job Functions Customer Service (30%)
  • Deliver unmatched service to prospects and residents, exceeding expectations and nurturing satisfaction.
  • Guide prospects through the leasing experience, making renting easy.
  • Serve as liaison through application, leasing screening, and move‑in process, including all related paperwork.
  • Respond promptly to calls, emails, chats, and texts.
  • Encourage prospects to apply.
  • Work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
Sales (40%)
  • Communicate detailed information about communities and apartments to prospects.
  • Generate interest by conducting informative and personalized tours that result in new leases.
  • Highlight community quality and lifestyle to drive sales.
  • Learn market and neighborhood details and use them in sales interactions.
  • Employ effective selling techniques to close sales.
  • Collaborate with onsite team to exceed occupancy goals.
  • Maintain knowledge of apartments, amenities, local agencies, and attractions.
  • Stay aware of current rental rates and promotions of competitors.
  • Project a favorable image of the community at all times.
  • Schedule tours and show apartments.
Leasing Administration (30%)
  • Monitor inbound leads, qualify prospects, lease apartments, and conduct tours.
  • Follow up after tours and complete move‑in procedures per policy.
  • Manage all leads and customer experience using the CRM.
  • Complete assigned CRM tasks within time frame.
  • Handle leasing requests from existing residents.
  • Run applications, communicate screening results, prepare and send leases.
  • Collect required information and documentation for smooth move‑in.
  • Inspect apartments before move‑in and coordinate maintenance.
  • Master the entire leasing process from post‑tour follow‑up to final closing.
Education

High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in Customer Service/Hospitality preferred.

Work Experience

1–2 years of sales and customer service experience with sales goals in a fast‑paced environment (property management, hospitality, retail, or restaurant) required. 1–2 years of prior leasing experience in multifamily property management preferred.

Licenses & Certifications

Valid driver’s license may be required depending on property.

Requirements
  • 1+ year sales and customer service experience with sales goals in fast‑paced environments.
  • Prior leasing experience within multifamily property management industry preferred.
  • Success in goal setting/achievement and following a sales process.
  • Knowledge of federal and state apartment housing laws.
  • Adherence to Fair Housing laws and Brookfield leasing policies.
  • High energy, sales and customer service driven.
  • Reliability, high attention to detail, self‑motivated, and self‑managing.
  • Ability to work well with diverse individuals.
  • Customer‑focused mentality, sharp professional appearance, and sales aptitude.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Yardi CRM (preferred).
