• Contribute to a positive work environment and promote the values and mission of James River Equipment and its product lines.
• Build lasting relationships with customers, focusing on long‑term growth, resolving problems, and providing ongoing support.
• Promote John Deere equipment products to customers in the assigned territory, managing all sales activities from lead generation through closing the sale.
• Interact with existing and prospective customers to demonstrate products and explain features.
• Monitor market conditions, competitor products and pricing, and forecast annual territory sales.

• Experience in equipment sales (or related rental equipment) or related industry sales experience required.
• Territory management experience and knowledge of local markets, John Deere and/or competitive equipment highly preferred.
• Strong time‑management, organizational, follow‑through and communication skills required.
• Ability to present and negotiate exceptionally well with basic knowledge of equipment financing and accounting.
• Computer skills including experience with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).
• Ability to travel within the assigned territory.
