As a Security Officer - Roving Patrol in Salem, VA
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to deter security-related incidents. You will assist with access control and incident reporting while delivering strong customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients at a utilities location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of operational areas, buildings, and perimeter routes to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Monitor access points and controlled areas, verify identification and/or visitor authorization as required, and document entries, exits, and deliveries per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or public emergency services when needed.
• Complete detailed reports of patrol observations, incidents, maintenance issues, and policy exceptions, and communicate updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• The client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
