Diesel Mechanic, Earn up to $35.31 / hr.

Full-Time, Monday - Friday, Various Shifts

R+L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for a Diesel Mechanic at our Salem, VA Service Center. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for day-to-day equipment maintenance on our fleet, including preventative maintenance and repairs to Class 8 trucks, trailers, and potentially forklifts. This can include maintaining trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, welding depending on location.

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and related fleet equipment.

• Conduct major and minor repairs as needed on trucks, trailers, and related components.

• Maintain equipment such as overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, and perform welding as required by location.

• Experience in preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines
• Ability to perform major repairs
• Experience with AC and Electrical systems
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Must have own tools
• 2+ years of diesel mechanic experience preferred
• Experience with Cummins and Detroit engines
• Experience using Cetaris for work orders
• Experience in trailer PMs and repairs
