Job Description
Johnson Controls Inc. is looking for forward‑thinking talent to join our organization to support the fast‑growing HVAC business in North America.
Responsibilities- Perform maintenance, repair and replacement services on commercial heating and cooling systems.
- Provide customers with the highest level of service to solve facility inefficiencies and resolve service‑related items.
- Serve as a trusted advisor, delivering solutions and outcomes at the time of commissioning and aftermarket service.
- Provide recommendations and upsell opportunities to ensure facilities run efficiently.
- Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.
- Use vibration equipment and tools such as dial indicators for mechanical shaft alignment and troubleshooting of pumps, fans, compressors and related equipment.
- Travel to branch customers as required (10%–20%) for installation, repair and troubleshooting support.
- Minimum of three (3) years commercial and/or industrial mechanical troubleshooting experience in the HVAC industry, including rooftop units, pumps, fans, boilers, compressors and plumbing.
- Practical work experience in HVAC piping, plumbing, pipe fitting or mechanical equipment service industry.
- Ability to pass a knowledge examination to assess proficiencies.
- Self‑starter with a passion to learn and apply skills on the job.
- Prioritize safety in all forms.
- Universal EPA refrigerants license, applicable state or local licensing, and a valid driver’s license.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to write and communicate problem diagnosis, causes and corrective actions to customers.
- Hourly rate: $38.23 in Min Scale, negotiable based on skill level per the CBA/rate sheet.
