What you’ll doAs a Field Mechanic, you will work on agriculture equipment at customer locations, ensuring that repairs are done accurately and on time so that the equipment is running in peak form. You will analyze and diagnose malfunctions or failures in the field, then repair, replace or rebuild engines, transmissions, carburetors, final drives, steering, clutches, cross shafts, hydraulic components (pump motors, valves, and related parts), electrical systems, and air systems.
Welding and fabrication work will also be required at times.
- 3+ years of experience diagnosing and repairing heavy or agriculture equipment.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Self‑motivation and the ability to work under little or no supervision.
- Excellent communication and customer‑relations skills.
- Driver’s license with a good record; CDL preferred.
- Must provide own tools.
$35–50 per hour (depending on experience)
