Detail​/Service Technician; Bath

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

The purpose of this position is to accurately complete details for installation of newly acquired jobs and provide warranty service after installation to ensure customer satisfaction.

• Detail projects for material orders.
• Dry fits tub liner tester molds for accurate fit.
• Communicate and assist Branch Installation Manager with problems.
• Conduct service calls to repair any plumbing and/or bathroom remodeling installation issues.
• Record material usage from Job Worksheets and Van Inventory Report Daily.
• Receive, unpacks, and inspect material and supplies for damages and defects; report damages and discrepancies to purchasing agent and complete proper paperwork for return authorization and reimbursement.
• Comply with all Federal, State and Local regulations and adhere to company safety policies.
• Assist with installation/service functions of the assigned territory.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record to operate company-owned vehicles.
• Complete a background check, physical, drug test and human performance evaluation.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned to meet business needs.
• Able to complete job redo services consisting of tub/wall/fixture removal and replacement.
• Has completed 4 years or more as a Detail/Service Technician.

• Can cover the morning duties of the Installation Manager, e.g., paperwork sign-offs, schedule assignments, etc.

• Responsible for keeping material secure at all times.
• Assist with installer training for cross-training installers on detailing jobs and performing services.
• Evaluates jobs for installation and customer service issues.
• Ensure company vehicle is serviced regularly and kept in good, neat, clean, and secure condition.

• Must be able to lift 85 pounds.
• Must be able to drive a vehicle for extended periods (up to 8 hours per day).
• Proficient in reading and writing in English.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work independently.
• Competency with computers and other electronic office/business equipment.
• Sense of urgency and the ability to react quickly and decisively to business needs.

High School diploma or General Educational Degree (GED), or related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Complete installation training prior to assuming responsibilities. Must be at least 21 years of age. Must possess a valid State driver’s license and have an excellent safety record.

Must have a valid driver’s license. Must have Lead Renovator Certificate.

Must be able to work in all types of environments under all types of weather conditions.
