The anticipated salary range for this position is $46,135.00 - $49,318.00 per year. Accendra Health seeks a Branch Logistics Supervisor to oversee daily logistics operations.
Job SummaryThe Branch Logistics Supervisor performs, plans, and coordinates the daily activity of all Logistics personnel and functions.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the Logistics department to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.
- Ensure staff compliance with all regulatory requirements, including driver qualification files, hours of service, hazardous materials, daily log, vehicle inspections, and maintenance regulations.
- Schedule Delivery employees on a daily and on-call basis.
- Prepare daily routes and assign additional routes as patient and referral requests are received.
- Occasionally perform Delivery employee responsibilities when short-staffed.
- Conduct special projects to research methods to improve productivity and reduce branch distribution costs.
- Work with Corporate Purchasing on ordering special equipment and new products.
- Troubleshoot shortages of delivery staff, routes, and loading of equipment.
- Maintain close contact with Delivery employees to ensure routes are completed timely and accurately.
- Ensure Logistics employees load trucks properly and efficiently; assist with special orders and equipment.
- Maintain daily vehicle maintenance logs and documentation of incident reports.
- Maintain proper stock levels in the warehouse to ensure profitability.
- Perform minor equipment repair and maintenance as required.
- Maintain files on all equipment.
- Respond to telephone calls from patients, referral sources, vendors and Delivery employees regarding equipment orders, patient problems and delivery employee incidents.
- Perform on-call duties and manage multiple branch locations as needed.
Supervise a team of primarily nonexempt employees, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and ensuring acceptable performance levels. Conduct regular staff meetings to review new business requirements.
MinimumRequired Qualifications
- Background Check meeting company minimum standards.
- Pass Department of Transportation Physical.
- Current MVR meeting company minimum standards.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Good organizational skills.
- Strong customer relations and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multi-task effectively.
- Effective communication in person, on the phone, and electronically.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 21 years of age.
- Minimum of three years driving history.
- Two years in Home Healthcare industry.
- Two years of supervisory experience equivalent.
- Two years inventory management experience.
- Resolve employee and customer issues timely.
- Effective communication in person, on the phone, and electronically.
- Knowledge of warehousing and inventory management.
- Knowledge of DOT, FDA and OSHA regulations.
- Time management skills.
- Successful completion of Apria Healthcare’s Management training program (BLU-MAN).
- Use of electronic handheld device, Microsoft Office, and basic printing/faxing/scanning.
- Complete online training and testing.
- English reading, writing and verbal skills.
- Basic math problem solving.
The role requires frequent variations including sitting, walking, standing, kneeling, reaching or stooping. Employee must be able to lift objects ranging from 10 to 160 lbs, push or pull objects weighing 20 to 60 lbs, climb stairs up to 100 in total, operate a motor vehicle, use hand tools, and maintain visual acuity for close and distant vision, and night work.
WorkEnvironment
Work involves operating a motor vehicle during day and night in various weather and traffic conditions, moderate exposure to dust, fumes, mists and odors, temperature extremes, and audible noise levels ranging from low to high. Employee may be required to travel, use PPE, and work in patient homes.
