Job Details:
Salem, VA 24153. Full Time. Salary: $17.00 hourly. Day shift.

• Performs package delivery and pick up services.
• Operates vehicle and optimizes the delivery route considering priorities and traffic patterns.
• Operates and drives vehicles for pick-up and delivery of various goods in a polite, resourceful, professional, safe and secure manner.
• Verifies the contents of inventory loads against shipping by sorting cargo set for delivery.
• Provides customer service while delivering over established routes.
• Inspects and maintains vehicle and equipment to ensure that they are in proper working condition.
• Communicates with central dispatch using mobile communications.
• Obeys traffic laws and follows organization’s transportation procedures.
• Ensures packages are delivered and entered accurately.
• Provides excellent customer service and responds to customer’s requests.

• Is 21 years of age and has a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
• Can work Monday through Friday, and some weekends based on operational needs.
• Has a consistently positive attitude and can work well with customers and other employees.
• Is capable of carrying and stocking a variety of products including boxes that are approximately 50 lbs. and can lift at least 75 lbs.
• Is creative and self‑motivated to solve problems as they arise.
• Has excellent communication skills and a true desire to provide customers the highest level of service.
• Has a professional appearance and conducts themselves in a professional manner.
• Is flexible, adaptable and willing to handle a variety of responsibilities.
• Is reliable and dependable.
• Previous customer service and/or delivery experience is preferred but not required.
