Manufacturing | Interim/Contract | On-Site
We're seeking an experienced Interim Warehouse Manager to provide immediate leadership for a high-volume manufacturing operation during a critical business period. This project-based role will oversee shipping, receiving, inventory control, material handling, and warehouse personnel while driving safe, efficient, and reliable execution. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in Lean operations, daily management, and continuous improvement, and is comfortable leading from the floor while developing a culture of accountability.
Key Responsibilities- Lead daily warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material movement.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials to support production and customer requirements.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, reconciliation, and disciplined inventory control processes.
- Drive Lean warehouse practices, daily management, visual management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor warehouse KPIs including safety, productivity, inventory accuracy, and on-time shipping while implementing corrective actions when needed.
- Coach, develop, and lead warehouse supervisors and hourly team members.
- Partner with Production, Supply Chain, Planning, Purchasing, and Customer Service to ensure operational alignment.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company operating procedures.
- Support ERP/WMS transactions and maintain accurate warehouse records.
- Perform other duties as needed to support day-to-day operations.
- 5+ years of warehouse leadership experience within a manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Experience managing shipping, receiving, inventory control, and warehouse operations.
- Demonstrated experience implementing Lean Manufacturing, Daily Management Systems, DBS, TPS, or other operational excellence methodologies.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills.
- Experience with ERP and/or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- A hands-on leader who can quickly integrate into an existing operation and make an immediate impact.
- Experience building accountability through standard work, visual management, and disciplined execution.
- A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify waste, improve material flow, and optimize warehouse performance.
- Strong operational leadership experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- A collaborative leader who partners effectively across operations, supply chain, and production.
This is an interim/contract assignment intended to provide immediate operational leadership during a defined business need.
