Who We NeedTo support our client’s continued growth, they are seeking a Contracts Manager responsible for the contractual lifecycle. The candidate must have experience drafting, negotiating, and redlining contract documents, as well as analyzing contractual terms and pricing. This role requires the ability to investigate and follow through on contract issues and build relationships across business units, communicate effectively, and manage a complex workload with competing priorities.
The ideal candidate will be familiar with evaluating audit documents and responding to compliance requests. Our client is a close-knit team of A-players. This position allows opportunity for the right person to establish efficiencies and best practices enterprise-wide, with the potential for growth within the function over time.
About this position:
- Support a portfolio of contracts throughout the lifecycle, including renewals, amendments and terminations
- Follow contractual processes as documented and recommend process improvements
- Draft, redline, and negotiate license agreements, service orders, and other contractual documents
- Prepare contract renewal analysis that include contractual terms, resolving conflicting information, and evaluating invoices and audits.
- Collaborate with various business units to respond to audit and compliance requests
- Review and draft responses to RFP requests
- Provide ad-hoc analytical support and complete special projects as requested
- Communicate regularly with management and various business units
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing competing priorities
- Be a liaison with the capability to work and communicate across a variety of business units and management levels
- Possess a zeal for continuous learning and the ability to build on foundational skills to progress into future roles
Bachelor’s degree required with focus in real estate, business, or finance preferred
- Juris Doctor preferred or 3 years in a similar role
- Contract negotiation experience, preferably with experience in the data center, telecommunications, or technology industries
- Must be extremely detail-oriented and a problem solver, always working towards meaningful solutions
- Previous experience collaborating in a cross-functional manner with different teams towards a common project goal
- Contract drafting and redlining experience with specific focus on license agreements, leases, vendor agreements, and non-disclosure agreements
- Contract analysis and interpretation, experience abstracting contractual rights and obligations, and synthesizing contractual requirements for non-legal team members and executive leadership
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Excellent communicator, confidently articulating complex analysis and solutions both orally and written
- Experience working independently as well as collaboratively; effectively managing competing priorities while meeting hard deadlines in a fast-paced working environment
- Proficient with Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat; experience with Salesforce preferred
- Self-motivated, initiative-taker with a can-do attitude
- Highest ethical and professional conduct and integrity
