Position Summary:
Inspire students' creativity and artistic skills by teaching visual arts, implementing district curriculum, and fostering aesthetic appreciation. Provide a safe, engaging learning environment, assess student progress, and communicate with students, parents, and administration.
Key Responsibilities:
* Teach visual arts, including drawing, painting, crafts, design, and art history.
* Develop and implement lesson plans and instructional materials.
* Assess and support individual student learning and progress.
* Organize student art displays and exhibitions.
* Maintain classroom materials, equipment, and accurate student records.
* Engage in professional development and collaborate with colleagues.
Qualifications:
* Kansas State Certification as an Art Teacher.
* Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
* Knowledge of art instruction, curriculum, and student-centered teaching methods.
* Strong communication and organizational skills.
* Prior teaching experience preferred.
Salary:
* Commensurate with education and experience; placed on the district salary schedule.
* Range $46,
