Position
Para educator – pre‑K through high school. Full‑time and part‑time positions may be available.
LocationEllsworth School District (Ellsworth/Kanapolis, Kansas)
Job DescriptionProvide assistance in implementing plans and programs related to academic or functional skill attainment for students with disabilities. Observe and document student progress and/or behavior and ensure the safety and welfare of students. Work on school days when students attend school (approximately 170 days per year).
Requirements- Enjoy working with special needs students and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Hold a high‑school diploma or equivalent.
- Obtain a passing score on the state para educator assessment, or have a minimum of 48 college hours, or hold a post‑secondary degree.
- Employment subject to drug screening, physical exam, criminal background check, and TB screening.
- Provide support to classroom teachers and instruction of students with disabilities.
- Perform other classroom duties as needed.
Starting base pay $14.11 per hour.
