Position: Support Staff/Para educator for Special Education

Location: CKCIE Area Schools – Project SEARCH at Salina Regional Health Center or Transitions at Salina Education Center

Start Date: August 2026

• Provide individualized support for students aged 18‑21 at host business worksite rotation or competitive jobs, including job coaching, building natural supports, identifying job accommodations, and assistive technology.
• Perform specific job analysis, task analysis, and job matching activities.
• Train students in grooming, hygiene, communication, interviewing, and behavior skills related to successful employment.
• Communicate with Project SEARCH/Transitions instructors to make decisions regarding issues that may affect student success.
• Attend training provided by school district personnel to gain knowledge of strategies and current best practices in supported employment.
• Communicate effectively with program instructors, other job coaches, employers, co‑workers, family members, school and agency personnel.
• Maintain strong computer skills.

• High school diploma required.
• Experience working with people with disabilities and/or in the industry/business field preferred.
• Enthusiastic, decisive, with strong oral and written communication skills.
• Productive team member, flexible, collaborative, professional, and organized.
