Greenwood Elementary School is seeking a dedicated Lunchroom/Recess Supervisor to support student success by encouraging safe behavior in the lunchroom and at lunch recess. The hours are daily from 11:30-1:00. This role plays a key part in maintaining a safe and orderly campus environment. The new hire will monitor behavior in the lunchroom and recess, including helping students line up to enter lunchroom or return to their classroom.

This position is a physically active roll and will include recess supervision in all types of weather, and ability to communicate and maintain expectations with students while creating a positive environment.

Essential Functions
  • Assists students, individually or in groups.
  • Demonstrates appropriate role modeling (e.g. conversation, manners, emotional support, listening skills, friendly and engaging attitudes, etc.) for the purpose of guiding students in the development of appropriate social and interpersonal behavior.
  • Reports observations and incidents relating to specific students (e.g. accidents, fights, inappropriate social behavior, violations of rules, safety conditions, etc.) for the purpose of communicating information to appropriate instructional and/or administrative personnel.
  • Supervises and escorts kids to/from recess/lunchroom for the purpose of providing a safe and optimal learning environment for students.
Qualifications
  • Age 16+
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must complete mandatory employee training within the first 3 months of employment.
