Student Success Aide
The Student Success Aide will work closely with the principal, counselor, and classroom teachers to implement targeted interventions that help general education students in kindergarten and first grade develop self-regulation, focus, and organization.
Qualifications:
Have a high school diploma or a GED certificate and complete 48 hours at an institution of higher education
* OR obtain an associate's (or higher) degree OR pass a State approved assessment that assesses the ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics (or reading, writing, mathematics readiness).

Building principal
Performance Responsibilities (under the direct supervision of certified staff):
- Direct Student Support Skill
Coaching:
Assist students in real-time with "brain skills" such as impulse control, emotional regulation, task initiation, and cognitive flexibility. Scaffolding:
Break down multi-step classroom directions into manageable "micro-tasks" for students who struggle with working memory. Visual Supports:
Implement and maintain individual visual schedules, "first-then" boards, and checklist systems to help students navigate transitions. Redirection:
Provide gentle, proactive cues to help students maintain focus during whole-group instruction and independent centers. - Collaborative Strategy & Implementation Team Consultation:
Meet regularly with the School Counselor and or School Principal to learn specific behavioral strategies and with Classroom Teachers to align support with daily lesson plans. Data Collection:
Maintain brief, objective logs on student progress regarding specific executive functioning goals. - Emotional & Social Mentorship Co-Regulation:
Act as a calm presence for students experiencing frustration, modeling "think-aloud" strategies to solve problems. Social Scripting:
Guide students through peer interactions, helping them practice turn-taking and "flexible thinking" during play-based learning.
