Driving Instructor ​/ Driver's Education Teacher - Flexible Schedule

Johnny Rowlands Driving Schools is seeking patient, dependable, and mission-driven individuals to join our team as Full-Time Driving Instructors at our North Overland Park, KS location.

This role is ideal for someone who wants meaningful work, flexible hours, and the opportunity to make a real difference in young drivers’ lives.

• $60 per driving lesson taught
• Flexible scheduling — you set your availability
• High demand for lessons, especially after school & weekends
• Use of a company vehicle equipped with instructor brake and mirrors
• A steady, rewarding role with purpose and community impact

• State-required training and licensing is mandatory
• Prior teaching, coaching, or customer service experience is helpful — not required

• Teaching students safe, confident, and responsible driving skills
• Supporting nervous or first-time drivers with patience and encouragement
• Remaining calm and professional in high-demand or stressful situations
• Representing Johnny Rowlands Driving Schools with care and integrity

You’ll thrive in this role if you:

• Are patient, calm, and encouraging
• Enjoy teaching or coaching others
• Can manage pressure while staying positive
• Have a valid driver’s license
• Can pass a background check
• Are available after school and/or weekends

• Preference for close to 40 hours per week
• Flexibility available for strong candidates with fewer hours
• Ideal for those seeking after-school and weekend work
