Refinery Optimization Engineer; Planning & Economics Focus

• Optimize refinery operations through blending, scheduling, and feedstock strategy
• Utilize LP models and crude assay tools to evaluate and improve refinery margins
• Develop and execute production plans aligned with commercial and operational goals
• Monitor and manage inventory across feed stocks, intermediates, and finished products
• Partner with Operations, Commercial, and Logistics teams to ensure execution alignment
• Provide performance insights and recommendations to improve profitability
• Support strategic planning, capital initiatives, and optimization projects
• Maintain and continuously improve planning and modeling tools

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical or related preferred)
• 4+ years of experience in refining or a related process industry
• Strong understanding of refinery operations and economics
• Experience with LP modeling, scheduling tools, or crude assay software preferred
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
