Position Overview
Wilson & Company is seeking a Civil Engineer in Training to join our design team in the Salina office. This position will perform roadway design and modeling utilizing Microstation Open Roads Designer and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D. The engineer will work with Project Managers, Peer Engineers, and the CADD Team to coordinate roadway design with other disciplines to meet project deadlines across Missouri and other regions as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in developing roadway design plans and contract documents.
- Work independently while collaborating with team members.
- Gain experience in business development/marketing and attend local industry conferences.
- Maintain high interpersonal and communication skills, teamwork, and problem‑solving.
- Manage and develop business client relationships.
- Apply comprehensive understanding of engineering principles.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited school.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain.
- 0-3 years of experience in street and highway design.
- Experience with federal, state, and local regulations for street and highway projects.
- Experience with Microstation Roadway Designer and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel).
- Strong teamwork, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
Annual salary range: $66,000 - $104,000.
