Product/Design Engineer – CE Attachments

Productive Resources is seeking a candidate to be part of our engineering team for our customer's facility in Salina, KS. As a member of our team, the selected candidate will be an experienced Product Engineer joining our Construction Equipment (CE) Attachment Product Development team.

This is a full-time position that is indefinite in duration with the opportunity of professional growth, and additional opportunities within our organization.

Duties:

  • Design new skid-steer and excavator attachments and OEM products from concept through production.
  • Manage all aspects of design projects including concept development, prototyping, testing, validation, and design-for-manufacturability.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing to ensure correct fabrication, welding, assembly, and functional performance.
  • Present design concepts, features, opportunities and challenges to the Land Pride management team.
  • Utilize analysis software, evaluate field testing and recommend design modifications to optimize product designs.
  • Create detailed drawings, bill of materials, test plans, etc.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product to engineering team lead.
  • Follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed safety and protective equipment.
  • Other duties may be assigned that require additional qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree (BS) in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural or Bio Systems Machinery Engineering, or related engineering discipline from a four-year college or university.
  • 5+ years of hands-on design engineering experience, preferably in construction equipment, heavy machinery, agricultural equipment, or related industries.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes (fabrication, welding, assembly) and design-for-manufacturability.
  • Proficient in CAD (Creo, CATIA, or similar), PLM tools (Windchill), and FEA software; strong skills in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to present technical information clearly to cross-functional teams.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with experience troubleshooting and resolving field and shop issues safely.
  • Willing and able to travel out of state for multiple days during development and testing phases.
