Lead the strategic management of pooled plan client relationships, focusing on retention, growth, and service excellence while ensuring operational effectiveness across a portfolio of complex retirement plan clients.
Job Description Responsibilities- Develop and execute relationship management strategies for pooled plan clients.
- Serve as executive sponsor for key strategic client relationships.
- Build trusted partnerships with plan sponsors, pooled plan providers, advisors, consultants, and fiduciaries.
- Lead client retention initiatives and develop action plans to mitigate attrition risk.
- Conduct executive business reviews and strategic planning discussions with clients.
- Identify opportunities for asset growth, participant engagement, and expanded service adoption.
- Partner with sales and consultant relations teams to support new business opportunities.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of client relationship managers while establishing performance standards.
- Monitor client satisfaction, revenue, retention, and operational performance metrics.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and partner with compliance, legal, and fiduciary teams to address issues.
- May evaluate market trends and recommend strategic initiatives to senior leadership.
- May drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, scalability, and client experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, human resources, economics, or related field
- 12 years of retirement plan, financial services, wealth management, or employee benefits experience
- Seven years of client relationship management experience supporting large institutional clients
- Five years of leadership experience managing teams and complex client portfolios

- FINRA Series 63
- Knowledge of pooled employer plans (PEPs), multiple employer plans (MEPs), and defined contribution plans
- Strong understanding of retirement plan administration and fiduciary practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) or related graduate degree
- Industry designations such as Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF), Accredited Investment Fiduciary Analyst (AIFA), Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS)
