Position Overview
The Contract Administrator is responsible for administering owner contracts, subcontracts, vendor agreements, change orders, payment applications, and project documentation from project award through closeout. This role supports project managers, procurement, accounting, and field teams to ensure contractual obligations are met and risks are minimized.
Key Responsibilities
Contract Lifecycle Management
- Support project manager in executing prime contract and collecting required insurance.
- Prepare draft payment applications and coordinate with project managers.
- Review invoices and subcontractors pay applications and submit them to project managers for approval.
- Support accounting team with month-end reporting and reconciliation.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure adherence to corporate policies and contract terms.
- Identify and mitigate risks with subcontractors, suppliers, and corporate procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Excellent communications skills to engage with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and strong organizational skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook).
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration or related field preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in construction contract administration or similar role.
