PARK & FACILITY MAINTENANCE I
FACILITY ATTENDANT
(15
-16 years of age or older)

· Works under the supervision of the Aquatics Supervisor &/or Assistant Manger.

· This classification is the entry level of the park & facility maintenance series working under immediate supervision.

· This classification is categorized as part-time or seasonal in support of programs at the Kenwood Cove Waterpark.

Duties:
· Responsible for custodial work & maintenance of the waterpark facilities & grounds.

· Uses non-powered hand tools to clean the pool & pool area.

· Identifies & repairs cracks & leaks conducts minor repairs.

· Performs semi-skilled painting work.

· Cleans & sanitizes bathrooms.

· Sweeps pool decks.

· Maintains supply cabinets.

· Picks up litter & empties trash.

· Sets-up tables & chairs for concessions.

· Keeps furniture & fixtures in good condition.

· Cleans tables, chairs & equipment.

· Helps to set-up private parties & events.

· Cleans after private parties & events.

· Performs ground work such as weed removal.

· Administers basic first aid, if needed.

· Responds in emergency situations in any capacity within scope of training.

· Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Education:
· Eighth grade graduate.

Experience:
· Previous custodial work & or swimming pool maintenance desired.

· Previous work using pool equipment.

Equipment:Rakes, skimmers, nets, brushes, hoses, brooms, mops, non-powered hand tools & janitorial supplies.

Desired Qualifications:
· Must be able to follow instructions.

· Maintains a high standard of customer service.

· Maintains positive & cooperative working relationships.

· Works indoors/outdoors in changing environmental conditions.

· Must be able to work in temperatures which often exceeds 90 degrees.

· Communicates well with staff & patrons of various ages from diverse backgrounds.

· Demonstrates kindness to staff & patrons & presents professional attitude at all times.

· Must be able to communicate verbally & in writing.

Requirements:
· This is a non-driving position.

· Performs all job tasks according to rules, guidelines & expectations of Aquatics Supervisor.

· Must have reliable transportation to-and-from work.

· Must be available to work shifts.

· Must attend required trainings & meetings.

· Required to review posted event calendars.

· Must follow scheduling protocols & be able to obtain weekly work schedule.

· Must follow time & attendance guidelines.

· Must adhere to payroll requirements.

· Must respond in a timely manner to all forms of communication regarding City of Salina employment by way of phone calls, emails, texts, etc.

· Must be able to lift 10-40 pounds frequently.

HEAD FACILITY ATTENDANT
