If you are ready to make a difference Central Power Systems & Services is seeking a talented Class 8 Truck Technician with experience in transmission work for our Truck Shop! We are an Allison Transmission Distributor and a leader in warranty service.

• Provide service to our customers while maintaining exceptional customer service.
• Perform overhaul and dyno testing of finished products.
• Document warranty failures according to Allison factory requirements.
• Write service reports for all repairs.
• Conduct all work with established safety procedures.
• Maintain an organized, clean and safe work area.
• Attend required training and certification classes.

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Knowledge and ability to repair various sizes of transmissions.
• Knowledge and ability to consistently repair components and equipment in line with dealers and manufacturers standards.
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively – independently or in a team.
• Critical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
• Superior communication skills – written and verbal.
• Ability to build and maintain excellent customer, vendor and factory relationships.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 5 years experience in the following areas
• Allison Transmissions
• Semi Repair (all makes/models)
• Engine Manufacturing and Overhaul

This position regularly requires walking, standing, sitting, stooping, bending, kneeling and climbing stairs. It also often requires pushing, pulling, twisting, lifting 50+ lbs. and working in a variety of weather conditions and noise levels.
