Assembler – 2nd Shift – Kipp, KS
Land Pride, a division of Great Plains Mfg. seeking a 2nd Shift Assembler for their facility in Kipp, KS.
This position works Monday through Thursday, from 3:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. (plus overtime on Fridays as required).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follow and complete daily build schedule.
- Read prints and use a tape measure as required.
- Place parts in specified relationship to each other.
- Bolt, clip, screw, cement, or otherwise fasten parts together by hand, or using hand tools, or portable power tools.
- Tend machines, such as impact wrenches, to perform force fitting or fastening operations on assembly line.
- Work at different work stations as production needs require.
- Work on line where tasks vary as different model of same article moves along line or at a fixed assembly station.
- Monitor assembly tasks and recommends quality improvement initiatives to the assembly/shipping manager.
- Follow all Great Plains policies and OSHA safety regulations and wears prescribed safety and protective equipment
- Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment.

- Understand team concepts and be a strong team player
- Ability to safely operate hand tools and read tape measure
- Excel in fast-paced work environment
- Ability to read blueprints
- Embrace culture of Lean Manufacturing and implementation of change
- Remain consistent and detail-oriented throughout the shift
