Scale Assistant

Cargill is seeking a Scale Assistant to support our manufacturing operations by ensuring accurate weighing and documentation of inbound and outbound materials. In this role, you will operate and monitor truck and product scales, record data in digital systems, and verify shipping and receiving paperwork. You will work closely with production, logistics, and quality teams to maintain flow and resolve discrepancies.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor truck and product scales to ensure accurate weights
• Record weight data in systems and logs with high attention to detail
• Verify documentation and labels for inbound and outbound materials
• Communicate weight discrepancies to production, quality, and logistics teams
• Follow safety and food safety procedures in all scale operations
• Assist with basic scale checks and coordinate maintenance needs
• Support inventory control through accurate weighing and recording
• Provide clear directions to drivers and visitors at the scale house
