Forklift Operator - 1st Shift - Salina, KS

Monday through Thursday, from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Great Plains currently has an opening for a 1 st Shift Forklift Operator for the Salina 7 Fabrication department. This position works Monday through Thursday, from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm.

• Movement of parts and material with accurate paperwork
• Service department by ensuring the proper parts and material are available at the proper place and time
• Assist with fab line processes as needed
• Safe and efficient operation of a forklift
• Assist outside receiving, loading and shipping as needed
  
  Inspection and routine maintenance of forklift
• Will be responsible for working with cycle count program
• Other duties as assigned
• Follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed safety and protective equipment.
• Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment.

• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to use AS400 to find location of parts, routing of parts, product structure, and parts availability
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Reliable attendance
• Forklift certification preferred but will train
• Understand team concept and be a strong team player
