Great Plains currently has an opening for a 1 st Shift Forklift Operator
for the Salina 7 Fabrication department. This position works Monday through Thursday, from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm.
Responsibilities:
- Movement of parts and material with accurate paperwork
- Service department by ensuring the proper parts and material are available at the proper place and time
- Assist with fab line processes as needed
- Safe and efficient operation of a forklift
- Assist outside receiving, loading and shipping as needed
- Inspection and routine maintenance of forklift
- Will be responsible for working with cycle count program
- Other duties as assigned
- Follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed safety and protective equipment.
- Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment.
Qualifications:
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to use AS400 to find location of parts, routing of parts, product structure, and parts availability
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Forklift certification preferred but will train
- Understand team concept and be a strong team player
