Responsible for ensuring the delivery of efficient and effective nursing care while achieving positive clinical outcomes and resident/family satisfaction in accordance with accepted standards of practice, state and federal regulations, and licensing requirements. Operates within the scope of practice defined by the state Nurse Practice Act. Responsible for resident care and direction of nursing care during the assigned shift; includes staff assignments, mentoring and educating nursing personnel, and working with physicians and other medical professionals.

Job Type: Full-time, 3:00p‑11:00p Monday thru Friday

Staff Recognition and Appreciation Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily nursing functions in accordance with Company, State, Federal, and local rules, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Admit, transfer, and discharge residents with documentation regarding care and services provided.
  • Participate in the orientation of new residents/family members to the facility.
  • Participate in facility surveys (inspections) as scheduled.
  • Ensure delivery of high‑quality, positive clinical outcomes, and resident/family satisfaction during shift.
  • Serve as a resource to all staff within the facility regarding the quality of services provided.
  • Chart progress notes in an informative, factual manner that reflects the care administered as well as the residents’ response to care.
  • Follow established procedures for charting and reporting all incidents/accidents involving residents & employees.
  • Identify and report changes in condition to supervisor, physician, and family.
  • Accurately identify skin changes and follow the Company skin management protocols.
  • Order and report diagnostic tests promptly.
  • Count narcotics at the beginning and completion of each shift with the nurse leaving and coming on to the shift.
  • Follow Pharmacy policy and procedures for ordering and delivering medications.
Qualifications
  • Valid state license(s)
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
  • High integrity and well‑grounded work ethic
  • Agility and flexibility with changing priorities
  • Team‑oriented and a practical team‑player
  • Professional demeanor
  • At least one year’s experience providing care and services in long‑term care (preferred)
