This adjunct position supports the Traditional BSN Program by providing clinical instruction through both lab and simulation experiences, mentoring nursing students, and evaluating student activities in a collaborative academic healthcare environment.

This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future nursing workforce, strengthen healthcare access across Kansas, and give back to the profession by preparing the next generation of nurses. Adjunct Clinical Educators work closely with School of Nursing leadership and clinical partners to create meaningful and engaging learning experiences while maintaining the flexibility to continue their own clinical practice.

* ** This position requires in-person clinical instruction and student supervision in Salina and is not eligible for remote work.
**** Work Schedule
*** 12-week clinical teaching period beginning in fall 2026
* Clinical days are 3-hour blocks
* Clinical faculty may choose to teach one or two days per week
* ** Flexible structure designed to complement active clinical practice
*** Compensation is paid per course credit hour
** Responsibilities
* ** Guide students in hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare environments
* Serve as a mentor and role model for future nursing professionals
* Collaborate with faculty to ensure alignment with curriculum and program objectives
* Foster critical thinking, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills among students
* Assist with preparation and instruction for clinical, lab, and simulation experiences
* Create a positive and effective clinical learning environment
* Evaluate student progress fairly using established program methods
* Maintain accurate records in compliance with university and legal standards
* Utilize learning management systems, email, and office software effectively
* Attend scheduled clinical and lab sessions

* Education Requirements:

*** Graduate degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing
* Candidates with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and significant relevant clinical and/or teaching experience may be considered.
* Doctorate in Nursing, preferred
* Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of Kansas or a multi-state RN license from a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state required
** Work Experience
*** Minimum of 1 year of relevant patient care experience required
* 2 years of relevant patient care experience preferred
* Experience teaching in a baccalaureate nursing program preferred
