Ambulatory Care / Pre-Op Surgery Registered Nurse (RN)
Compensation & Incentive Package:
- Hourly Pay Rate: $31.62+ / hour (starting rate based on verifiable clinical experience and higher education)
- Relocation Assistance: Up to $5,000 relocation allowance available to assist qualified candidates (details discussed during the interview process).
We are seeking a detail-oriented, patient-focused Ambulatory / Pre-Op Surgery Registered Nurse (RN) to join our surgical services team. In this role, you will deliver high-quality perioperative nursing care to surgical patients using the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
You will be responsible for preparing patients physically and emotionally for surgical procedures, managing pre-admission testing, delivering patient/family education, and collaborating closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists.
Key Responsibilities- Pre-Operative Care: Conduct comprehensive pre-operative assessments, review clinical histories, verify consent forms, and prepare surgical patients according to established clinical protocols.

Education:
Educate patients and caregivers regarding surgical expectations, pre-procedure instructions, post-operative care, and recovery timelines. - Interdisciplinary
Collaboration:
Work seamlessly alongside surgical teams, anesthesia providers, and post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) nurses to ensure safe, continuous care transitions. - Clinical Documentation: Maintain precise, timely, and compliant electronic medical record (EMR) documentation in accordance with hospital policies and professional standards.
- Safety & Quality: Ensure strict adherence to infection prevention, sterile processing guidelines, and national patient safety goals.
- Degree Requirements: Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma from an accredited school of nursing [Required]. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
- Clinical
Experience:
Hospital-based clinical nursing experience within the last 5 years is preferred [Preferred].
- RN Licensure: Active, unrestricted State Registered Nurse (RN) license [Required].
- Life Support: Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (or willingness to complete within 90 days of hire) [Highly Preferred].
