As our Inventory Control Administrator,you'll play an important role in protecting the accuracy of our inventory and financial operations across our 24/7 Travel Store locations.
Blending accounting, inventory management, store support, and vendor coordination, this role is a great fit for detail-oriented, analytical problem-solvers who love driving issues from identification to a complete resolution.

The Inventory Control Administrator oversees the precision and integrity of retail inventory, merchandise intake, vendor payables, credits, and rebates. This position manages critical control and reconciliation workflows spanning from initial merchandise delivery to final vendor payment.
The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, analytical ability, and follow-through, along with the ability to work directly with stores and other departments to improve inventory accuracy and strengthen retail controls.
Essential Job Functions- 1. Manage Receiving and Inventory Controls
Perform daily pre-audits of merchandise receiving, review receiving invoices, monitor negative item counts, research discrepancies, oversee inventory audits, and coordinate corrective action to maintain accurate inventory records. - 2. Reconcile Vendor Payables, Credits, and Rebates
Research merchandise-related accounts payable discrepancies, reconcile vendor credits, manage rebate setup and billing, track payments, and ensure outstanding amounts are properly collected and resolved. - 3. Monitor Inventory, Ordering, and Warehouse Activity
Monitor orders, deliveries, vendor fill rates, assigned warehouse inventory, incoming shipments, and operational inventory programs. Identify recurring issues and work with appropriate teams to improve processes and controls. - 4. Conduct Store Audits and Support Inventory Compliance
Visit store locations to review receiving, inventory, transfers, ordering, and merchandise controls. Assist store teams with inventory cleanup and discrepancy resolution while identifying recurring issues requiring additional follow-up. - 5. Support Month-End and Retail Operations
Complete assigned retail accounting and inventory month-end activities, maintain supporting documentation, and assist with merchandise, beverage, and grocery resets and other major retail initiatives as needed. - 6. Perform Other Duties as Assigned
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support retail operations, accounting, inventory accuracy, and company business objectives.
- Experience in retail operations is preferred.
- Knowledge of inventory control, accounting support, accounts payable, and purchasing.
- Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ability to learn retail, inventory, and accounting systems.
- Advanced typing and 10-key capabilities
- Ability to research discrepancies across multiple systems and follow issues through resolution.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with store personnel, vendors, Accounting, Retail, and company leadership.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
- Ability and willingness to travel to company locations as required.
This position is based at the Triplett, Inc. corporate office in Salina, Kansas and requires periodic travel to 24/7 Travel Store locations throughout Kansas.
