Position Summary
The Field Technical Associate Specialist (TAS) plays a critical role in the organization’s model by driving demand for BMS medicines within a defined territory. The TAS engages health care providers with a differentiated customer experience, leveraging scientific dialogue and consistent with labeling, to promote appropriate use of BMS products.
Key Responsibilities Portfolio Promotion- Promotes approved indications of BMS products to meet or exceed assigned sales targets in a compliant manner.
- Creates demand for BMS medicines by articulating the clinical and scientific rationale for use.
- Maintains continuous growth of scientific expertise in assigned products and therapeutic areas.
- Prepares and implements comprehensive territory and account plans.
- Uses available tools such as CE³ to derive insights and dynamically inform call plans; provides feedback to leadership for continuous improvement.
- Demonstrates scientific expertise and passion using approved resources to present information to HCPs while ensuring medical accuracy.
- Conducts in‑office presentations and discusses product‑related scientific information consistent with label.
- Organizes external speaker programs, selecting speakers from an approved Speakers Bureau and facilitating scheduling and logistics.
- Maintains a high level of expertise on emerging data for approved indications.
- Engages real‑time medical support through Medical on Call to answer unsolicited questions and complex inquiries.
Complies with all laws, regulations, and policies that govern the conduct of BMS.
Required Qualifications & Experience- Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience in healthcare sales, MSL, HCP, or nursing.
- Ability to communicate scientific or clinical data accurately and convincingly.
- Demonstrated experience building and maintaining strong credibility with key customers in a customer‑centric mindset.
- Experience in hematology/oncology with strong account management and proven sales performance.
- Ability to work effectively cross‑functionally with a positive team mindset.
- Strong selling and promotional skills with a proven track record.
- Qualified driver: at least 21 years of age, a valid driver’s license in good standing, and an acceptable driving risk level as determined by the company.
- Anticipated to spend 100% of time in the field with external customers.

- Demonstrated ability to drive business results.
- Experience identifying, engaging, and cultivating credibility with customers across the patient care journey.
- Demonstrated account management skills and problem‑solving mentality.
- Understanding of the patient journey and ability to customize engagement and deliver tailored messages.

- Ability to analyze data (prescribing patterns, market trends, HCP preferences) and use insights to strategize and target efforts.
- Ability to segment HCPs based on preferences and other relevant factors.
- Understanding of how to interpret and analyze data related to BMS products, customer preferences, and clinical data.
- Ability to use CE³ to generate insights and perform dynamic call planning.
- Strong learning agility with ability to apply lessons to achieve better results.
- Ability to balance individual drive and collaborative attitude.
- High level of integrity and good judgment to navigate role requirements compliantly with BMS policies.

- Salary Range: $75,000 - $100,000
