We are seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial Duct Installer to join our team. As a Commercial Duct Installer, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing ductwork systems in commercial buildings. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure the successful completion of HVAC installations in a timely and efficient manner.

Responsibilities:

Install Commercial Ductwork:
Execute the installation of commercial ductwork systems, including supply and return air ducts, as per project specifications and design plans.

Read and Interpret Blueprints:
Study and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and other technical documents to determine the layout and design of the ductwork system.

Fabricate Ductwork:
Measure, cut, and fabricate ductwork components using appropriate tools and equipment, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications.

Install Dampers, Insulation, and Air Registers:
Mount and secure dampers, insulation materials, and air registers to ducts to regulate airflow and ensure proper insulation.

Perform Quality Checks:
Conduct inspections and quality checks to verify the proper installation of ductwork, including the identification and resolution of any installation issues or defects.

Troubleshoot and Repair:
Diagnose and repair ductwork system malfunctions, such as air leaks or blockages, and perform necessary adjustments or replacements.

Equipment Maintenance:
Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of tools, equipment, and machinery, ensuring their proper functioning and reporting any defects or malfunctions.

Adhere to Safety Standards:
Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to applicable regulations.

Document and Report:
Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including completed installation reports, materials used, and any issues encountered during the installation process.

Collaborate with Team Members:
Coordinate and collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure efficient installation and adherence to project schedules.

Requirements:

Experience:

Minimum of at least 2 years of experience in commercial ductwork installation, preferably in HVAC or construction industry.

Knowledge of HVAC Systems:
Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems and associated components, including ductwork, insulation, dampers, and air registers.

Technical

Skills:

Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, using hand and power tools, and fabricating ductwork components accurately.

Problem-Solving Abilities:
Excellent problem-solving skills to identify and resolve installation issues or defects.

Attention to Detail:
Keen attention to detail to ensure accurate measurements, cutting, and fitting of ductwork components.

Physical Stamina:
Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including tight spaces, elevated areas, and varying temperatures.

Safety-Conscious:
Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures to maintain a safe working environment and prevent accidents.

Team Player:
Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively within a team and coordinate with various stakeholders.

Time Management:
Ability to prioritize tasks, meet project deadlines, and work efficiently while maintaining quality standards.

Valid Driver's License:
Possession of a valid driver's license is preferred.
