Continuous rotating 12‑hour shift.
- Days: 7:15 am – 6:45 pm
- Nights: 6:45 pm – 7:15 am
Starting rate: $35.01+ per hour based on experience.
Sign‑on bonus: $7,500.
Bridgestone Americas is seeking a Bridgestone Maintenance Technician (BMT) for our Wilson, NC facility. The BMT will report to a Group/Shift Lead (Supervisor) and provide emergency and routine multi‑craft maintenance support to the operations departments in a highly automated environment. This position - electrical, mechanical, and electronic - will be responsible for troubleshooting mechanical, electronic, and electrical industrial equipment for a designated department at the plant.
The ideal candidate must have a continuous‑improvement mindset while achieving the overall objectives with preventative maintenance and quick repair for trouble calls from operating technicians. The Wilson plant is a highly automated tire manufacturing facility that produces Passenger Car and Light Truck Radial tires on a 24/7 basis.
Troubleshooting and repairing Mechanical, Electronic, and Electrical Industrial Equipment
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment including hydraulics and pneumatic equipment.
- Perform quick repair for trouble calls from operating technicians.
- Troubleshoot and repair programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Participate in continuous improvement activities (Kaizen).
- 3+ years industrial maintenance technician experience in a multi‑craft industrial manufacturing environment.
- Completed apprenticeship program AND 2+ years multi‑craft industrial maintenance experience.
- 2‑year technical degree (AS) in electronics, robotics, general technology, mechatronics, or related technical field AND at least 2+ years of experience in a multi‑craft industrial maintenance environment or equivalent military experience.
- 4+ years of high‑tech maintenance related military experience (e.g., U.S. Navy “Nuclear” or Aviation field, U.S. Air Force missile technicians, etc.).
