Bridgestone Americas Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Tech 1 for the Wilson, NC facility.

The Tech 1 will provide maintenance support to the operations departments in a highly automated environment. This multi-craft position (mechanical and electrical) will be responsible for troubleshooting mechanical and electrical industrial equipment for a designated department within the plant. The ideal candidate for Maintenance Tech 1 brings experience in mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting and/or a 2 year technical degree, with a desire to grow their skills further.

Pay rate is $30.64/ hour.

• Preventative Maintenance (continuous improvement)
• Perform maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical industrial equipment
• Perform quick repair for trouble calls from operating technicians
• Troubleshooting programmable logic controls (PLCs)

Applicants must be 18 years of age or older and meet the following minimum requirements:

• Be at least 18 years old (on the date the opportunity is posted)
• Receive a passing score on the entry test and/or interview assessment selected by the Company
• Enroll in a 2‑year technical degree (associate of science) in electronics, robotics, general technology or related technical field
• OR 3+ years of experience as a maintenance technician in an industrial manufacturing environment
• OR veteran (exiting military) candidate from a highly technical job field with at least 6+ years of active duty service (e.g., US Navy‑ Nuclear or Aviation field, US Air Force Missile Technicians, etc.)
