Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Position Summary
Bridgestone Americas Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Tech1 for the Wilson, NC facility. The Tech1 will provide maintenance support to the operations departments in a highly automated environment. This multi‑craft position (mechanical and electrical) will be responsible for troubleshooting mechanical and electrical industrial equipment for a designated department within the plant. The ideal candidate for Maintenance Tech1 brings experience in mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting and/or a 2‑year technical degree, with a desire to grow their skills further.
Pay rate is $30.64/ hour.
- Preventative Maintenance (continuous improvement)
- Perform Maintenance and troubleshoot Mechanical and Electrical Industrial equipment
- Perform Quick Repair for Trouble Calls from Operating Technicians
- Troubleshooting Programmable Logic Controls (PLCs)
- Applicants must be 18 years of age or older and meet the following minimum requirements:
- Be at least 18 years old (on the date the opportunity is posted)
- Receive a passing score on the entry test and/or interview assessment selected by the Company.
- Enrolled in a 2‑year technical degree (associate of science) in electronics, robotics, general technology or related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience as maintenance technician in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Veteran (exiting military) candidate from a highly technical job field with at least 6+ years of active duty service (e.g. US Navy‑ Nuclear or Aviation field, US Air Force Missile Technicians, etc.).
Assuming that an applicant meets the minimum qualifications listed above, in order to be further considered, the applicant must pass an entrance test taken on a computer.
