Electro-Mechanical Technician Level 4
The Electro-Mechanical Technician Level 4 is responsible for the day-to‑day troubleshooting and preventive/predictive maintenance at the Ruther Glen VA site. Acts as a senior AGV technician and mentors lower‑level employees. The shift is 10am to 10pm. Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required.
Compensation
:
Estimated base pay range $33 to $37.50 an hour. Final compensation depends on location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
- Repair and maintain AGVs, including calibrating sensors, component adjustment/replacement, lubrication, and hydraulic troubleshooting.
- Complete preventative maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures.
- Use electrical test equipment to troubleshoot circuits (5V to 480V).
- Create and close work orders in the asset management system with accurate labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used.
- Troubleshoot AGV problems and identify resources needed to resolve them.
- Locate and track spare parts from inventory.
- Perform complex maintenance and equipment testing to ensure they meet specifications.
- Assist in training customers to operate equipment.
- Respond to service calls and correct equipment failures and faults.
- Identify problems as they occur and take appropriate steps to solve them.
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree or vocational technical training preferred.
- Specialized skill training or certification preferred.
- Senior‑level knowledge of a technical or specialty area.
- Proven experience in the area of responsibility and successful execution of the tasks listed above.
- Ability to communicate professionally with customers, company leadership, and technicians via email and in‑person.
- Leadership experience in directing day‑to‑day operations and task management for onsite maintenance teams.
- Physical capabilities: lift and move up to 50lb, push/pull wheeled dollies up to 100lb, lift both below waist and above head, climb ladders and gangways safely.
- Work in conditions involving small spaces, dust, fumes, hot/cold temperatures, noise, vibration, extended standing on concrete, and wet/uneven surfaces.
