Pestinger Heating, Air Conditioning and Electrical is looking for an experienced, hard‑working and dedicated journeyman electrician to add to our growing team. Top wages, benefits and 401K available. The individual in this role will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing and repairing the customer’s electrical systems. We’ll ask you to perform these tasks for both residential and commercial clients.
As a journeyman electrician, you will be asked to complete a wide variety of tasks. You should be able to perform inspections and conduct assessments of electrical systems. You should also be able to read blueprints and interpret them in order to determine the best way to resolve the problems in an electrical system. To accomplish all of this, you will need to have a deep familiarity with wiring, commonly used electrical tools, and various components.
We’re hoping to hire a journeyman electrician who has already completed an electrician apprenticeship, but we are open to considering the right candidate who has not.
- Drive yourself to our job sites and assess their electrical systems
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints
- Use a variety of tools and techniques to repair and maintain electrical systems
- Use your knowledge to determine the best way to install new electrical systems
- Answer any questions that our customers may have about their electrical systems and components
- Ensure that you follow all safety requirements and OSHA guidelines while you work
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Formal electrician training
- Ability to use a wide variety of electrician tools and techniques
- Ability to interpret electrical blueprints and schematics
- Strong customer service skills
- Previous on the job training a plus
- Critical‑thinker, problem‑solver
- Must be punctual and adhere to a daily schedule with multiple appointments in different locations
