Are you a hands‑on problem solver who thrives on keeping heavy equipment running at peak performance? We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Technical Representative I / Heavy Equipment Mechanic to become a key player on our Customer Support Team
.

In this role, you’ll be the go‑to expert for maintaining and repairing Bergkamp’s industry-leading Pavement Preservation Equipment
. Your work will directly impact our customers by ensuring their machines operate safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.

You’ll collaborate with a team of experienced mechanics to diagnose issues, develop smart repair strategies, and deliver top‑notch service—both in our shop and occasionally on‑site with customers. If you enjoy variety in your work, solving mechanical challenges, and making a real difference for equipment operators in the field, this is the role for you.

We’re seeking a hands‑on, detail‑oriented professional who thrives in a technical environment and enjoys solving problems. The ideal candidate will bring:

• A high school diploma or equivalent as a foundation for your technical skills.
• 3–5 years of experience in automotive mechanics, welding, electrical work, or a related field.
• Confidence using mechanic tools (both electric and pneumatic) and operating a forklift
  .
• The ability to read and understand technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
• Strong technical writing skills to document work clearly and accurately.
• A natural problem-solver who can think critically and adapt to new challenges.
• Willingness and flexibility to travel domestically and internationally
  , including some weekends (up to 25% of the time).
• Excellent communication skills
  , both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with customers, coworkers, and leadership.
