Role Description

This is a full‑time, on‑site role for an Assistant Superintendent at Salina Country Club, located in Salina, KS. The Assistant Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing daily operations related to golf course maintenance and ensuring the highest quality standards for turf management. Responsibilities include assisting in planning and executing maintenance schedules, supervising groundskeeping staff, operating and maintaining equipment, monitoring irrigation systems, and ensuring safety and proper usage of chemicals.

The Assistant Superintendent will collaborate with the Superintendent and other team members to maintain the course and its facilities at a premium level.

Qualifications
  • Experience in turf management, groundskeeping, or related fields
  • Knowledge of irrigation systems and proper chemical applications for turf maintenance
  • Strong leadership and team management skills to supervise groundskeeping staff
  • Hands‑on experience with operating, maintaining, and repairing equipment
  • Ability to develop and execute maintenance schedules for golf courses
  • Detail‑oriented with a focus on maintaining safety and environmental standards
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively
  • A degree in Turfgrass Management, Horticulture, or related field is desirable
  • Previous experience in golf course management is a plus
