Under the supervision of the Sports Director or Coordinator, the Sports Official will be responsible for youth sports games in accordance with the goals and philosophy of the YMCA. The Sports Official will provide a quality experience to children and parents that focuses on the YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
April 12th - May 17th. Games on Sundays
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting all participants, maintaining a clean and safe facility and demonstrating professional conduct at all times
- Explain the rules to children, coaches and parents
- Be fair and consistent
- Prepare game field
- Conduct meeting with coaches and captains. Lead sports pledge
- Pick up trash and put equipment away after games
- Display good sportsmanship
- Responds to challenges with possible solutions in a timely manner
- All other duties as requested
- Knowledgeable of the sport they are officiating
- Must work well with children, parents, and coaches
- This person should have the ability to work and resolve conflict situations
- Certifications CPR/FA, within 30 days of hire
