The Delivery Drivers will deliver, service and/or install bulk and non‑bulk propane, propane utilization equipment, and miscellaneous materials to customers in an assigned territory. Drivers will also assist with general water system maintenance and repairs where water solutions are offered. Customer service, vehicle care, completion of all necessary paperwork, and compliance with all DOT requirements for safe handling and distribution of propane are core responsibilities.
ScheduleStandard schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Occasional weekends, on‑call shifts, and overtime are available. Extended hours are typical during the busy season of October to March.
Duties and Responsibilities- Operate all assigned vehicles in accordance with company policies and state, federal, and local regulations for commercial motor vehicle safety.
- Manage a delivery schedule with multiple stops per day as directed.
- Resolve or appropriately escalated customer inquiries and/or complaints.
- Demonstrate responsibility for the care, condition, and safe handling of all company and customer equipment and property.
- Ensure all required paperwork is accurate, legible, and submitted to the supervisor at the end of each business day.
- Cross‑train in the service area to ensure timely response to general customer needs in propane and/or water where offered.
- Maintain professionalism, integrity, security, image, and confidentiality of information and records as required by the position.
- Attend all safety meetings, training, and in‑service sessions as required.
- Maintain regular attendance at the worksite.
Knowledge,
Skills and Abilities
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Maintain a valid CDL driver’s license with mandatory endorsements.
- Knowledge of Federal and State DOT rules and regulations.
- General mechanical abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to read maps and possess good geographic knowledge of the service area.
