Tax Senior

Compensation: $100,000 - $130,000 + Bonus

An established public accounting firm on California's Central Coast is seeking a Tax Senior to join its growing tax practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional who enjoys working directly with clients, preparing a variety of returns, and identifying planning opportunities while continuing to expand their technical expertise.

• Prepare federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, trusts, and other business entities.
• Research tax issues and apply current tax laws to client situations.
• Prepare accurate work papers and supporting documentation.
• Communicate directly with clients regarding tax matters, notices, and information requests.
• Identify tax planning opportunities and provide proactive recommendations.
• Manage multiple client engagements while meeting deadlines.
• Stay current on changes in federal and state tax regulations.
• Contribute to a collaborative, team-oriented environment focused on delivering exceptional client service.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 3+ years of recent public accounting tax experience.
• Experience preparing individual and business tax returns.
• Exposure to partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, trusts, and multi-state taxation preferred.
• Strong tax research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• CPA or CPA-track candidates are encouraged to apply.
