Responsibilities- Prepare and submit complete permit packages to city and county planning and building departments.
- Track every permit from feasibility to final approval, always knowing the status of each one.
- Research zoning, setbacks, and ADU rules jurisdiction by jurisdiction to ensure feasibility studies are correct the first time.
- Build relationships with planners, building officials, and inspectors across the region.
- Turn plan check corrections around quickly so a small comment never costs us weeks.
- Coordinate daily with operations, planning, and clients to keep projects on schedule.
- California permitting or entitlement experience (construction, ADU, modular, architecture, or planning).
- Extremely organized, persistent, and comfortable at a building department counter.
- Fluent in planning portals and permit software, and you never let an application sit.
$25 per hour to start, 40 hours a week (about $52,000 a year). Steady full-time work with 401(k), paid time off, and raises as you grow into the role.
