Mobility Specialist

Salary: $55,948 - $79,110 (Annually)

Responsibilities

Provide administrative and technical support to MST's Mobility Management programs and services as directed by the Mobility Coordinator and the Mobility Services Manager.

Perform travel training activities, presentations, and assessments to individuals or in a group setting and formulate travel training plans; write training assessments, progress, and summary reports.

Perform outreach activities, education and presentation to seniors, people with disabilities, and veteran groups or individuals in the community.

Provide support in the MST RIDES program, assist in eligibility determination, and schedule eligibility interview appointments.

Provide customer service and assist customers in completing a reasonable modification request or a customer service report.

Provide support in the taxi voucher program, assist in processing taxi voucher requests for voucher distribution sites and customers, reconcile voucher usage, and complete voucher inventory.

Provide customer service to voucher distribution site staff, taxicab companies, and voucher customers. Support and coordinate reporting with the Monterey County Regional Taxi Authority designated staff as needed.

Provide support in the Navigator Volunteer Program, assist in recruitment, training, tracking volunteered hours, provide work assignments, and document activities.

Participate in Americans with Disabilities (ADA) sensitivity training for MST Coach Operators, private taxi operators, and other individuals/agencies as required.

Provide support in the Transportation Reimbursement Incentive Program, provide customer service, determine eligibility, and process reimbursement logs.

Provide support in veterans outreach activities, coordinate, and process bus passes for veteran's services organizations.

Provide support in processing and printing MST-issued identification cards for mobility programs.

Record data and provide accurate and properly composed documentation or statistical reports.

Provide support in processing and printing MST-issued identification cards for mobility program, promoting the Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT), promoting the MST Vanpool Program and other administrative support for current and future Mobility programs and services including preparing reports and statistical data.

Independently function in non-office settings and without direct supervision.

  • Ability to speak, read, and write in Spanish is preferred.
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

Associate's degree from an accredited community college plus two (2) years of related experience and/or training working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, and veterans, which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must possess a valid California driver's license and a clean driving record at the time of application, to be maintained throughout employment.
