Preschool Associate Teacher Bus Duties Req

We are looking for dedicated individual to join our Early Childhood Education team as Associate Teacher. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in the growth and development of children while supporting our mission to provide high-quality education and care.

• Has 12 semester units ECE/CD, with a grade C or better, or CDA Credential or CTC.
• Has 6 months related experience with children ages 0-5 years of age.
• Has an Associate Teacher Permit or higher.
• HS/EHS/MSHS/State-Braided Associate Teachers must also meet at least one of the following criteria:
  • Have a child development associate (CDA) credential or the California equivalent of a Child Development Associate Teacher Permit at time of hire (12 ECE semester units including core courses; and for EHS and infant/toddler classrooms must also have 6 infant/toddler semester units)
  • OR
  • Be enrolled in a CDA credential program that will be completed within 2 years;
  • OR
  • Have an associate or bachelor's degree (in any area) or be enrolled in a program leading to such a degree.
• Depending on the department assigned, a valid California driver’s license, a current DMV driving record, and proof of insurance may be required to fulfill job-related travel. Reasonable accommodations will be considered in accordance with applicable laws.

• Engageschildrenwithage‑appropriateactivitiessuchasgames,songs,andconversationduringtransportation
• Conductsend‑of‑tripbusinspectionsbystraighteningseatbelts,removing trash,andcheckingforchildrenorbelongings
• Ensurestheestablishedseatingchartisfollowed
• Releaseschildrenonlytoauthorizedadultsattheendoftheday
• Verifiesallchildrenhavebeendroppedoffusingsign‑insheets
• Providescareandeducationforchildrenages0–5inapositive,engaginglearningenvironment
• Collaborateswiththe Center Supervisor and Teacherstoplanandimplementdevelopmentallyappropriateactivities
• Assumes Teacherresponsibilitieswhenneeded,guidinginstructionalassistants,parents,and volunteers
• Maintainsasafe,clean,andnurturingclassroomenvironment
• Supportstheplanninganddeliveryofeducationalactivitiesthatpromotechilddevelopment
• Participatesinphysicalactivitieswithchildren,includinggames,music,andoutdoorplay
• CompletespediatricfirstaidandpediatricCPRtrainingwithinthefirst
  30daysofhire
• Completes
  16hoursoftrainingonpreventivehealthpracticesandnutritionwithinthefirst
  30daysofhire
