Job Title

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed and accurate project cost estimates using company templates.

Develop and maintain estimating templates as project requirements evolve.

Maintain and update materials pricing databases.

Prepare estimates for turbine and submersible pumps, including new installations, repairs, replacements, and retrofits.

Estimate Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), pump controls, and soft start systems.

Prepare estimates for electrical meter services, domestic pumping systems, pump discharges, fabricated piping, well rehabilitation, and well destruction projects.

Support irrigation system engineering, design, and estimating as experience develops.

Collaborate with Sales Engineers and Project Managers to ensure estimates align with project requirements.

Participate in client meetings, site visits, and job walks to gather project information.

Communicate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to obtain pricing and product specifications.

Create and modify design templates and site layout documentation.

Research permitting, legal, and regulatory requirements for projects.

Gather technical data and product information using web and print resources.

Maintain organized project files and accurate estimating documentation.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in the agricultural, electrical, construction, mechanical, irrigation, or water industry.

College education or technical coursework beneficial but not required.

Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of water system components preferred.

Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).

Experience with Adobe Acrobat, Visio, and Irricad preferred.

Basic understanding or willingness to learn pump systems, electrical services, control systems, and water system materials.

Knowledge of domestic and agricultural water system configurations.

Understanding of prevailing wage rate selection and categorization.

Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.

High attention to detail and documentation accuracy.

Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.

Willingness to travel to job sites and work occasional weekends as required.
